SHE Consulting Inc. is a local Whitehorse, Yukon based firm that has been working since 2010 to deliver specialized safety consulting services to clients throughout the Yukon. Our clients include construction, mining and industrial companies, First Nation governments and businesses, as well as government departments and agencies. She Consulting provides a complete suite of safety services from program development and training, auditing, and preventive maintenance, through to workplace investigations, HSE program delivery, on-site inspections, mobile treatment units, testing and training. We also provide OHS regulatory support and on-call 24-hour HSE support for workplace incidents.

About the opportunity

We are looking for an HSE Advisor to join our team. Your primary accountabilities will be to:

  • Perform HSE Inspections of clients’ and businesses’ worksites and generate digital reports
  • Perform Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments
  • Complete incidents reports
  • Complete workplace incident investigations
  • Support various components of our clients’ HSE programs, including inspections and safety meetings
  • Perform training for our client teams
  • Work within a team led by a senior HSE
  • Provide solid and clear OHS recommendations to our clients while on site
  • Produce written Safe Job Procedure and Safe Work Practices
  • Report incidents promptly
  • Be available on call from time to time
  • Promote HSE culture at all workplaces visited

About your experience and qualifications

Your skills and experience include:

  • A NCSO or Certified Health and Safety Technician (CHST) professional designation
  • Two years of relevant experience in the field of safety
  • Ability to work on the ground at project sites
  • Ability to adapt to the challenging situations of Yukon workplaces
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • A friendly, approachable demeanor
  • A willingness to grow in your safety career
